Greetings! This is the various photos I've taken of Jason and Elizabeth the last couple of weeks. There are the pictures of the latest dress-shopping, and some family photos from the send off at the armory on Saturday, January 19th. Some photos from the engagement party, too!

The evening moves on

Yummy dinner of steak and wine and rice...there is lettuce later if I want. Not yet.

It's 6:30 pm. Going to just keep posting the little posts as the night roles on. I'm happy. I have to say that I've had three evenings of fighting this week and it suits me.

Just listening to William Shatner talk about his philosophies that make a lot of sense and I'm now curious about his new book. But going to head out and do important stuff in the garden. I bought Van a morning glory, a flower he has always loved. So just for him, I'm planting this.

Update

I've not written anything for most of the week, but mostly cause I'm pushing so hard through the week. Monday evening was practice at the park, Tuesday I went to Nordskogen for practice, Wednesday was class night, and tonight was fighting drills.

Tomorrow I am coming home and working on my garden. So nice to know there are a lot of plants in my car. I'll take them out tomorrow, let them have a nice day in the driveway, lol.

RSSing this one and sharing...

Link: SCA Ireland Research.

In an attempt to further my research, I have started this blog to organize my information on Irish history and Ireland into a more comprehensive way. Hopefully I'll maintain this information and it will prompt me to keep it going. My main goal is to develop a better understanding of Medieval Ireland so as to provide myself with a better persona.

Home!

Car unpacked, checking to make sure there isn't any troubles at work. Looks good though. So I'm gonna unpack the stuff I dragged in, maybe get pics of those cups up for you to see.

Five minutes out of New Liberty...

and I hit a rest stop with wireless. Van says "That's the point of a vacation. To do things that give you joy." So I'm doing a short blog post. Yeah! And on down the highway we go!

Report from the road...

I slept until 6 this morning. Totally awesome! Laid there for another half hour before getting up for coffee and a book. Van and I went swimming; felt good to do the laps and stretching.

It was fun taking Gin to the store to buy food, lots of food. Hanging out with this adult daughter of mine just reminds me I need to communicate with her, to reach out as much as I can. She's got so much going on, and we are both forgetting the stories of our lives to share with each other.

So we got some pictures with each other and I got one of her roommate, Daniel. This is cool - he is a poet. He's written a very nice one about Ginny when she dances, and this is a good part:

She dances
like the angel
we know is sneaky...

her skirts swirl
with the gentle undertones
of a live lived rarely indecent....

Good Morning!

This is going to be a post that just runs all day long. I'm comfortably setting in my temporary living room, drinking coffee and trying hard not to click too hard on my keys. Let sleepers sleep. I'm feeling kinda good - all because of a poster this motel has on its walls. The short of it was that everyone is welcome, everyone is considered to be family while they are here, it is hoped everyone lives here feeling comfortable and leaves here feeling better.

What a great way to start the day.

Hanging out in Rolla, MO

I have a few minutes here to just hang out while Ginny is checking on her dog, Bomber Jane. So what else do I do but get on this computer and type?? LOL.

So, last night's trip sorta is a blur already. I woke up at 5 and just dozed on and off until 7. Yuck. We got around then and drove into Rolla to Gin's place.Rolla_visit_may_2008_003

It's not bad. Needs a good cleaning but then it just makes my own place look better, and the kitchen was just fine. Gin takes care of that, I guess. We got to meet ...oh geeze, forgot her name but she is the sweetest chocolate brown lab I ever met. A rescue dog from a puppy mill. Totally sweet, worries about being safe, plays well with Bomber. Oh, Hunter.

Gin's here now. Curled up here next to me. What sorta mean thing shall I write? hahahaha

Rolla_visit_may_2008_005Mom and Bruce came up for lunch  - that was a good time. We sat and talked for a bit here at the motel, then went to Gordo's to find it was closed, then travelled back to Applebee's. Then pie at 'slice of pie' which has excellent, homemade pie. Yummy!Rolla_visit_may_2008_007

OK, I'll finish this later. Smiles!
