LOL. Van just said "OK. I guess." When I told him about this article. Then he said "interesting." But I just might have to try it.

It looks like I'm going to get this bloody geteld up all by my self today - just checking it out before camping season starts. Checking the new poles and such. Have to drill new holes for the uprights in the crossbeam. Have to figure out how to get it upright. Have to be strong enough to get it upright!
Did a ton of garage selling with Van yesterday. My drinking night fell through but there will be others. Today, hung out with Mel and Lori all morning. Got a cute haircut and made a new acquaintance of a hairdresser highly recommended by Cindy. Going to wrestle this geteld into submission and then start a fire. It'll be a nice nice night for a fire and maybe some company. Lovely day!

I need to do this soon. We bought 60+ bottles, resealable beer bottles, at a garage sale yesterday. Anyone want to help sample??
" I solicited the help of a number of friends to evaluate John Gaylord II and compare it to the (equivalent) beer we drink today- the American commercial beer."
This is so silly...we want to kill our friends, sure. Not hurt them and certainly not so it's permanent or anything:

Done! it was heavy weights tonight - I went up on the weights for back muscles, and for squats. Barely got the biceps done, though. Owwwy!
And then they didn't have a new Bones on...that Idle show was on instead. Yuck.
Got up and did a 30 minute walk. The city has added a bench along the path, overlooking highway 14 but at least not also overlooking the turkey farm. Feeling good today. Yeah me!
Hey-Hi! It's a catch-up post, good on french fries but well, hey, I'm sorry it's taken so long. I was prepping for Coronation and for Leadership Institute 2 which happened immediately afterwards. Both were a blast.
Northshield Coronation was on April 14th and a very busy Saturday it was indeed. I had twelve entries into the A&S display, 10 of them part of the competition. And interestingly enough, four of us were top-placing entries - there was less than one 'bean' between us. Pretty cool comments came my way, too. Strong encouragement. I'm going to do more of this hemp-to-rope work and see how far I can go. Already have found someone else interested in working with rope-twisting and netting, too. Lovely to make new friends, isn't it? I also had fun serving feast to the Warwick musical group. And I learned a bit about coptic weaving - I want to try it sometime.
The Leadership Institute - well, I was really nervous about it. I had several presentations and groups to lead. Didn't do so well with the groups, but I think the presentations went well. The retreat center was just about perfect- not any distractions to get in the way of bonding and networking. And it was sweet. People really appreciated me and my enthusiasm. Uplifting, that was.
So Saturday I caught up on some email and bought fabric for some new dresses plus a new shirt for Van. Lovely baby cord in green for one of them, and a blue linen for the other. Van's shirt is, lol, white linen. White, white, white! Got to love it for those shirts. Cleaned up a couple of the garden beds and unpacked. Completely! I don't usually do that the first day back from an event.
Also had to handwash our bedspread as a cat had gotten very sick on it. Van just bundled it up until I got back. Not sure why unless he didn't know how to handle it? Anyway, I filled up the bathtub with soap and spread and let it soak. Sat down for a few minutes before I went in and did the stomping step...heard this awful catterwauling from the bathroom! I'm not sure why, but Boo was just heart-broken to see all that water and his favorite bed in the same place, or maybe to see all that water in the bathtub as he likes to jump in it. He was really upset...odd. Poor cat. I talked to him, esp when I climbed into the tub and started stomping around and he was so concerned. Kept looking at me, at the water, at me, and crying. He's better now that it's dry and back on the bed.
I stuck to my diet today! yeah! Only two hours until bedtime. I can do this.
Going to post about drills next but that's on the fighting blog. Later!

You're nice and squishy, and people like you a lot. In fact, I think everyone likes you. Plus you're purple. Everyone likes purple, and everyone likes sofas. Except guys don't like purple as much. Samuel L. Jackson likes purple. That's why he has a purple lightsaber. Only I don't know if that's his actual name. So it goes. | |

Your dominant hues are red and blue. You're confident and like showing people new ideas. You play well with others and can be very influential if you want to be. Your saturation level is lower than average - You don't stress out over things and don't understand people who do. Finishing projects may sometimes be a challenge, but you schedule time as you see fit and the important things all happen in the end, even if not everyone sees your grand master plan. Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything. |
