Friday

I'm preparing to go to It's only a flesh wound with Liz and Jason and will have a total blast. I'm very excited all of a sudden. I don't know why - I do events all the time. However, I am pleased to be back on the road again with Liz. I've missed her travelling w me. 

Wondering if I have time to modify my gorget. Hummm...update as the morning progresses. 

Thursday update

Pretty good day. I got a lot of work done, had some good conversations with the people around the office. Let's see....I'd not slept well again, so getting to work was in sleepwalk mode. Finally got enough coffee in. Solved problems. Talked to people. Went to lunch with Aurora and Aimee and met Kyle and snacked on boneless wings and talked nonstop. Then went to Gander Mountain for candy and found clothes, workout clothes, for like 75% off. Back to work, tickets, phones, talk, talk, talk. Got off work, came home, worked out and sat down here with Van to watch a movie. Wanted has been good so far. Ate a big salad. Laundry is going down stairs. Van is folding some of his so I'll have the dryer, nice of him. Washing the fighting clothes yet again.  Cringing when something scary bursts across the screen.

I watched this and then listened to the 4th track (small numbers on the screen indicate the main clip and then the three voice-overs) which was of Dr. Kersten explaining why he supported this film's creation. I do not think it an ulcer, though, but a metaphor for the fire in the belly.  http://despair.com/more.html  It does not have to be a product heading for a factory, or anything marketable that inspires that fire, either. Sooooo, crossposting it.

"There is no secret ingredient"

Fun movie with some good things to teach. Kung Fu Panda. I'd been wanting to watch it. Afterwards Van and I tightened up the base of the indoor pell - the nails were getting wiggled loose and so I asked him to get me some wood screws and he got some that are...well...i guess only five inches long but they looked a lot longer when I was faced with a shorter drill bit for the set-in holes. Gotta love a drill, though, for forcing screws into wood. Earlier, I had picked up "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy today and fell into it tonight. It is a haunting travel through a dead world, nuclear, I think, as a father tries to take his only child to a hope of a sanctuary. I powered through that before the movie.

Thoughtful post. I'm glad I read this one.

I hope I reach this serenity and acceptance. And I think I will check out his bibliography, too. Who is he?

Today I am seventy. I’m not sure I know what that means. Knowing of this birthday people have commented, “You don’t look seventy.” But what does seventy look like? What is it supposed to look like? I have no idea.

Back and forth this morning.

Let's see...I reset my ring tone on my phone and set the gmail back up on it so where ever there is a hotspot, I'm good.

I also made sure my tasks were easy to put into the phone and that the categories I added were there. And added some tasks. And reviewed them all.

I'm thinking about friendships and loyalties for some reason today...
